I thought it was lost forever until recently when my aunt passed away and I unearthed it in her hoard. It actually belonged to my father. It is the thing my childhood dreams were made of. In all my years of loving model ships, I have never seen another like it. The wood inlay is masterfully crafted. So many beautiful details! It was personalized for Judy and Harry of New York City, NY. I would love to restore it but I do not have the time right now. It needs to be passed on to someone who will lovingly restore it and give it the life it deserves. It measures 18″ long x 4″ wide x 5.5 tall including the base. In the last photo you will see remnants of the original “curtains” and its anchor. It is missing one little light off the top, which I think I have somewhere, but could probably be “easily” replaced. I have not cleaned the dust off of it for fear of scratching its lovely patina. Please excuse its condition but it is really a “barn find” although it was buried in her home.
