Stromberg Model 81, “97 style” carburetors. This is for your Stormberg Model 81 2-Barrel Carburetor of various styles used on many of the smaller Ford Flathead engines and custom applications. It will be rebuilt by one of the best and largest classic carburetor rebuilders in the world. The best available new gaskets, seals, accelerator pump (leather), inlet seat/needle, pump springs and power valve are used to bring them to better than new condition and make them ethanol-resistant. You get a new correct size main metering jets if needed, and polished stainless steel fasteners for the bowl cover. Each carb is bench-tested and set to specifications. A new base gasket is included. 035 main jets, but you can have any size you want. I rebuild about 100 or so of these particular carbs each year so you can be confident that it will be right. Many carbs out there still have “factory quality” issues typical of little or no quality control at the time they were manufactured, so I check and correct problems such as warpage, uneven sealing surfaces, throttle body and throttle plate wear and corrosion that cause fuel to seep out or drip into the carb at idle and after shut down. All emulsion tubes are removed, cleaned, and inspected. There is a discount for multiple carbs. If you send a carb which has internal damage, stripped threads, missing parts from a previous rebuild attempt, or passages that cannot be unplugged, (or has been sitting in a state of disrepair for decades), I will inform you and return the unit at your cost after refunding what you paid for the rebuild service.
