Here we have a charming Underwood Champion Field Typewriter from 1937. The carriage does not move when you strike a key, though the backspace key mysteriously does work. Several keys stick and do not seat flush with the others when at rest. There is rust in the carriage/inside. Please also note that this item does NOT include a case. Though in need of repair, this is a very cute, compact machine, especially given its age. Many of the vintage typewriters we come across are large and they tend to be heavy. This guy weighs about eleven pounds and measures about 10.5″ x 11″ x 6. Though there is some rust in the inner workings of the carriage the finish on this is surprisingly good; this would like nice on a shelf or in a collection. Thank you for looking!
