This is a matched set of 4 Rebuilt Premium Level 1965 Corvair Carburetors. You get all 4, one price. Your new carbs will flow better than stock, and be more responsive to tuning and engine demand. You will also get better gas mileage and power. They include the best available gaskets and parts as well as Ethanol-proof accelerator pumps (newly available). They are set up and adjusted to eliminate most, if not all, synchronization. The carbs have the correct. 086 fuel inlet seats with Viton (ethanol-proof) tipped inlet needles. Many other suppliers and re-builders are using a generic. 101 fuel inlet seat set (originally for a Rochester 2BBL carb) that will result in a rich setting (air pollution and waste of gas and hard to sync) regardless of your adjustments. The choke shafts have been upgraded and replated for an accurate choke setting and operation. There are also several proprietary improvements you will appreciate, and I install 18-8 Stainless Steel Fasteners and Lifetime SS Fuel Filter Screens in place of the antique sintered bronze cylinders. The carbs are finished in OEM like the photo (yes, they really did look like this from the factory) and come with 8 base gaskets. I include instructions and tips for an easy installation. I can also take extra carbs in trade if you have some you want to unload. You might be surprised to learn that some folks reuse old fasteners, paint the old shafts, don’t remove throttle or choke plates when cleaning the shop manual says not to? , and use incorrect parts from just about any year. If you get some carbs that still have the stock shafts (over 50 years old, remember), they ARE going to have an air leak. FWIW, there are over 100,000 possible different parts combinations! For Corvair carbs because of all the changes GM allowed (I’m also a retired algebra teacher), so be sure that your rebuilder is an expert on the differences. These are fully guaranteed to work. Some common search mistakes are: carburator, rodchester, 1BBL, and spider. Thanks for taking the time to read this and for considering Wolf Enterprises, as we will be here to help you out when other one-time or part-time eBayers and carb rebuilders have disappeared and won’t be there next time you need carbs.
