Curtiss P-40 Warhawk is an American, single-engine, fighter-attack plane with a metal structure, in a low-wing system with a classical tail. The development of the structure began in 1937, when the prototype airframe version 75 was adapted to the row-in-line engine of the Allison V-1710-11 engine with 1167 hp power. The aircraft became the first American construction able to fly with speed over 483km / h. The RAF version was called Tomahawk Mk IIA. Airplanes had self-sealing fuel tanks and two 7.7mm machine guns built into the wing. Tomahawk MkIIB had American radio equipment and was armed with six 7.7mm machine guns. Technical data (version P-40E): length: 9.66 m, wingspan: 11.38 m, height: 3.76 m, maximum speed: 580 km / h, climb speed: 11 m / s, maximum range: 1100 km, practical ceiling: 8800m, utilities: fixed- 6 M2 machine guns cal12.7mm, suspended-up to 900 kg of cargo. The model was made on the basis of the Airfix set in 1:48 scale. I used a number of weathernig techniques to give it a natural look for the era and the theater of activities on which it was operated. The model shows the plane from Pearl Harbor on the day of the Japanese attack on 07.12.1941. This model is not a toy but a professionally made miniature of historical fighting machine, may constitute exhibit collector or perfectly decorate any living room or office.
