Here is one of my little treasures I have enjoyed for nearly 25 years. This is a reverse orbit Chelsea Pilot House clock (model E if you are looking in Andy’s book) made for Chickasaw Shipbuilding on September 22, 1920. Clock keeps good time and is a little larger than a typical 6 inch clock. Dial measures 6 3/4 inches in diameter and the case is a hinged bezel type in good condition and has a push button release. The seconds bit is about two inches in diameter and it is the classic sign of the pilot house clock. What is unusual about this clock is that the rear plate of the movement seems to be made of red brass. It also seems the plate was cast as there are casting wrinkles in the plate. Chelsea stamped the serial and their name on it anyway. Clock runs a week and comes with a Chelsea key. The dial of this clock is in very nice shape for nearing its 98th birthday. I will be posting other clocks as time progresses so to speak. Clock is larger than a typical 6 inch clock. Clock comes with a Chelsea key. Feel free to ask questions.
