In the 1930’s through to the 1950’s Triang produced a range of Coastal Steamers. They were wooden and powered by clockwork motors. They were intended to be sailed and were produced in various lengths. At 22 inches long this is the second largest. After the war a reduced range was produced to similar designs. Without the original decals they are difficult to date so this particular example is more likely to have been produced in the 1930’s but it is difficult to sure. She has had quite a hard life and can be used as a display item or she could be restored. Apart from the motor and the prop shaft she is basically complete. However, the hull requires some attention prior to a fresh coat of paint. Please have a good look at the photos to see the condition.
