This is a PAIR (2) of Rebuilt Premium Level World Famous Wolf Enterprises Corvair Carburetors. Most carbs can be used on different year engines without any modifications other than the main jet size, but my recommendation is to stick to the same or newer year as your engine. There is a good chance the ones on your engine don’t match as a result of many swaps or incorrect rebuilds and it is very important that both carbs be the SAME YEAR. Your new carbs will flow better than stock, and will therefore be more responsive to tuning and engine demand. You should also get better gas mileage. They include the best gaskets and parts available and are set up and adjusted to eliminate most, if not all, synchronization procedures. The carbs will have the correct. 086 fuel inlet seats with Viton tipped inlet needles. Many other suppliers and re-builders seem to be using a generic. 101 fuel inlet seat (originally for a Rochester 2BBL carb) which will result in a rich setting (air pollution and waste of gas and hard to sync) regardless of your adjustments. The choke shaft cams, which are usually loose, have been modified and replated for an accurate choke setting. There are also several proprietary improvements you will appreciate. I install new 18-8 Stainless Steel Fasteners and Lifetime SS Fuel Filter Screens in place of the antique sintered bronze cylinders. The carbs are recolored in OEM tones like the photo (yes, they really did look like this from the factory) and come with base gaskets. All rubber and gasket parts are “ethanol-proof” as advertised by their suppliers. I include instructions and tips for an easy installation. Just check with me for core rebate details if any of this is confusing. I will take extra carbs in trade at the same value to reduce your cost even further. If I don’t hear from you (happens a lot), I will send primary carburetors. If you order elsewhere, you will probably get something off the shelf that might work. FWIW, there are over 100,000 different parts combinations for these because of all the changes GM allowed (I was a high school math teacher), so be sure that your rebuilder is an expert on the differences. These are fully guaranteed to work. (Carbs fit engine sizes 95, 110 and 140 HP). Some common search mistakes are: carburator, rodchester, 1BBL, and spider. Thanks for taking the time to read this and for considering Wolf Enterprises, as we will be here to help you out when other part time eBayers and carb rebuilders have disappeared.
